Melissa Boyce, Founder and CEO
Melissa is a true entrepreneur.  Her passion to create new energy in the marketplace has made her a sought after leader, speaker and change artist in credit unions.  Melissa has over 6 years of financial marketing and 14 years of successful selling experience.  Melissa’s credit union career journey started in March 2000 with CU Shopper – a shopping portal offering credit union financing.  In February 2001 she began working with a credit union check printer where she consulted credit unions to determine their needs and offered them solutions to meet their financial goals. 

Melissa is an accomplished speaker and promoter of the credit union philosophy within the credit union and financial services industry. She is well known for her strong leadership abilities, work ethic and dedication to the movement.

Kim Allison, Consultant
Kim’s best compliment came from a client who said, “I want to strive to be like you…independent, driven, self motivated, and honest.”  By drawing on Kim’s 10 years experience in sales and marketing, she has helped her clients achieve success.  Her strong inner desire to succeed has made her a draw for many organizations throughout her career.  She has worked in sales in retail, television, radio, and display advertising.  She worked with Liberty Check Printers in 2000 and found out about the wonderful world of credit unions at that point in her career.  She found that she loved working with credit unions. 
She has helped her clients with strategic planning, training, and product research as well as marketing.  Her attention to detail helps her to get the job done right the first time.  She also has helped her clients to better structure their activities to be more efficient through her ability to see the big picture and how little things affect it.

Barb Jones, Consultant
Barb Jones is the most recent valuable addition to CU Achieve, Inc. Barb’s creativity and initiative has created dramatic change in her client’s Marketing and Business Development efforts already. Barb spent nine years in the telecommunications industry as a National Account Service Manager for a major telecom firm.  Most recently Barb has served as the Marketing Manager and Business Development for Loudoun Credit Union and TMB Federal Credit Union.  Since she began working with Loudoun CU she has implemented a Youth Account program, assisted in developing a new website, developed numerous marketing materials, produced the LCU newsletter, and participated in numerous community events.  At TMB, she has produced their newsletter and is working on developing new brochures and assisting with their move to new office space.

Lori Kawulok, Consultant
Lori’s expertise lies in her desire to help clients focus strategically and stretch to reach goals set.  Lori began her career with credit unions in a drive-thru lane in 1988.  Lori’s experience truly started when she was the first person to be robbed in that credit union’s history of 50+ years. She journeyed through HR, Cold Call Sales in 110+ degree weather, Training and Speaking, Business Development in the cold dark lunch rooms in factories and prisons, and all phases of Marketing.  She most recently stepped down from the Senior Management team of a $700 Million dollar credit union in Charlotte. She is the mother of a 15-year old and a wife of 19 years.

Lori is a passionate advocate of the credit union movement, and is driven to see credit union’s succeeding in the future.  She enjoys helping her credit unions discover what makes them unique, and use that as a competitive edge in an increasingly tough industry.

Tena Krouse, Consultant
Tena has over 14 years of marketing, business development, sales and technology experience in the Financial and Information Technology markets. Her experience includes business/planning and strategy development, market research, lead generation, customer communications, sales training and support, corporate/product branding, advertising and public relations with companies ranging from government resellers to credit unions.

In addition, her role as an adjunct professor at Strayer University in Richmond, Virginia has enabled her to reach many with the message of yielding results through proper business management and marketing. As a former credit union employee and current credit union member, Tena brings a unique perspective to her ongoing work with credit unions.

Jim Miesnik, Consultant
Jim’s extensive knowledge & expertise in recruiting, hiring, training & leading a sales team has been helpful to the creation and growth of CU Achieve, as well as to our clients. His proven sales success as well as excellent results with profit & loss margins has also opened up opportunities of improvement within our organization and clients.
While working for Bell Atlantic as a team leader, he was a five time winner of their Bell Atlantic incentive trip and had the highest percent gain all five times eligible.  He led total company sales with the highest percent gained, two out of five times eligible. 

While working for Western Termite and Pest Control, he received the “Circle of Excellence” award two times.  
Jim has been instrumental in the growth and success of CU Achieve, Inc. and can see through to the heart of a situation to find real, tangible solutions for growth, profits, and team success with clients.

Andrea Van Beek, Consultant
Andrea’s dedication and work ethic make her an asset to each client she interacts with.  She has a strong understanding of sales growth, and marketing initiatives.  Andrea began her career with credit unions through Liberty Enterprises in 2000 – the same company that Melissa Miesnik, CU Achieve’s founder worked for.In 2004, due to the pressures of the check printing industry, Liberty decided to make a change in their direction and focus on banks - her choice was to stay involved with credit unions, continuing to assist them in meeting their goals and objectives in this very competitive marketplace.

She has enjoyed a wonderful career in sales, business development, marketing, and training, working with the complexities of larger companies like Sony, Microsoft, IBM and Brunswick.  She also had the opportunity to enjoy working with credit unions with asset sizes from $900M to under $10M focusing on all areas of their business from operations to sales and marketing.  She is a mother of 12 year old twins and a wife of 23 years.  She is currently helping her clients reach their goals through hands-on and comprehensive approach.
